Paris ordered a custom-made $200,000 pound diamond-encrusted dashboard for her pink Bentley, according to New Kerala. She’s already being blasted for the mockery her purchase makes of the current economic recession, but the irony is apparently that she can’t get the dashboard until May because the recession has slowed down the factory.

I appreciate the awkwardness. Making enormous purchases for non-essentials probably isn’t very politic right now. I also appreciate the fact that stars like Paris are continuing to make money during this time and that her purchase is probably no more outrageous a percentage of her income than plenty of the hardest hit people still spend on their daily mochachino allowance. They just don’t get scrutanized by the Daily Sun every time they slip through a Starbucks. The money Paris spends will no doubt benefit the factory and the people who work there. But without newspapers getting outraged about her every move how would we even know what stars like Paris are up to? Besides, we have bigger news.

Paris celebrated her 28th birthday yesterday, but not in the usual cake and candles way. Paris celebrated at a private club inside her Beverly Hills mansion by showing off her pole dancing skills. While I’ve yet to find a photo that demonstrates she did more than walk in a circle around the pole she clearly had some fun. Paris placed sexually suggestive framed photographs of herself around the room as conversation pieces, including one of her tied up. Most of the tabloids rolled their eyes but that shows a courageous spirit and a sense of fun, if you ask me.

Days after she was rumored flirting with Twilight star Robert Pattinson, Paris was spotted arriving in Tokyo with baseball player and “The Hills” star Doug Rienhardt. 

Sources say Hilton invited Reinhardt on a “romantic getaway” to Tokyo. The pair has allegedly been secretly dating for the past several weeks, ever since Reinhardt’s split from actress Amanda Bynes.

Paris might of found her man at the Oscars on Sunday and no it’s not Benji. Several guests including the Olsen Twins and even ex-boyfriend Benji looked on aghast as Paris dragged Robert Pattinson outside for a private talk. Paris, who seemed over eager to get her man, raised eyebrows with her antics.

Paris’s sister Nicky played sheriff when she made a citizen’s arrest of a suspect who allegedly pushed Nicky to the ground. Nicky Hilton was not injured during the incident that occurred about 4:50 a.m. Saturday near an IHOP restaurant.

Paris admitted recently that she has a secret crush  with Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue. 

“I haven’t met her but I love her. She’s so hot,” the Sun quoted Hilton as saying. Kylie has also inspired Hilton for her second album.

“My whole album was really inspired by Kylie Minogue,” she said. “I love her, I love her music and I wanted to do a dance album.”

Is it jealously or is it really love? After breaking up with Benji back in November Paris had enjoyed the single life. However, when she heard that Benji was hanging out with Katy Perry on Valentine’s Day she became jealous. 

A source said “Paris still has very strong feelings for Benji and seeing those pictures has really hurt her – especially as they were taken so close to her birthday. She is determined to get Benji back and she is not going to let anyone or anything stand in her way.”

Before hitting up Aubrey O’Days birthday party and Playboy Cover celebration last night, Paris was out at Bar Deluxe with Australian Model Cheyenne Tozzi.

Rumor has it that the fight Between Chris Brown and Rihanna was caused by Paris. Witnesses reported the couple began fighting after leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy bash on Saturday night. 

According to OK! Magazine, Paris and Brown were seen at a Timbaland Grammy party together.  The witness told OK, “He and Paris went outside together.  Paris was all over him.  Rihanna caught wind of it and spent the rest of the night glued to him.” 

According to sources, the agrument started after Chris Brown received a text message from a woman about hooking up later. 

Paris hinted that she is interested in doing a duet with Beatle star Sir Paul McCartney. She cornered Paul after the Grammy Awards after-show party to see if he wanted to do a duet with her. Paris was reportedly overheard saying: “I’d love to do a duet with you. I’m a singer too and have had an album out.” The Beatle star simply told her that he will consider her offer.
